The GEO has been organizing since the early 1990’s for democracy in the workplace, better education, increased stipends, better benefits, and other changes to make life as a Teaching, Research, or Graduate Assistant better. On May 22-25, the GEO will be hosting the Alliance of Graduate Employee Locals (AGEL) conference! At the General Membership Meeting, Wednesday, September 26, by unanimous vote of all members present, the GEO crafted a formal statement of support for the local chapter of the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), who represents the Building Service Workers and Food Service Workers on campus.
