Host a department or building meeting
Here are the steps for organizing a department or building meeting to get your colleagues involved with GEO.
Join a committee or working group
If you’d like to become an active member, attending regular committee meetings is a great way to help. GEO has many committees and working groups to choose from. Most committees are run by an elected officer and you can serve in an elected position. Here is a list of our committees and working groups and how to contact them.
Attend General Membership Meetings (GMMs)
GEO holds at least one GMM every fall and spring semester. These member meetings are where voting occurs, and they provide information and gather feedback from membership. Attending GMMs is a good way to find out what issues are affecting multiple departments and what various GEO committees are up to.
